Our Impact Corner

Nigeria suffers from the plague of excess child bearing, parent birthing children that arenโ€™t capable to nurture and grow.

On one of our outreaches, we set out hoping to rescue two children, but somehow, God gave us four. We say God because, at Sarahโ€™s House Orphanage, our work goes beyond what we see. We trust Him to lead us to the children He wants us to care for so that His purpose can be fulfilled.

When we met them, they were in desperate need. Their guardian, who we later discovered was their grandfather, had tears in his eyes as he asked us to take all four. He knew he couldnโ€™t care for them, especially the youngest, who was just about three years old. The children were malnourished, and their living conditions were heartbreaking.

Though it stretched us beyond what we thought possible, we couldnโ€™t turn away. Watching our staff and team members cry at the thought of leaving them behind was enough to change our minds. No child deserves to live that way.

Today, we are so thankful we said yes. Look at them nowโ€”happy, safe, and loved in their home away from home.

Edini, Unwana, Mmeyene, and ThankGod now live with us. They eat well, have comfortable rooms, and are part of our schooling system. Now, they are back in school, and with each passing day, they are discovering a world of possibilities.

We know that in just a few years, the decision we made to save these four children will lead to a testimony. Their lives are already changing before our eyes, and we canโ€™t wait to see the future unfold for them.
