Our Impact Corner
A home for every child
At Sarah’s House Orphanage, we do not only provide care for orphaned children — we also serve vulnerable children who need a safe place to grow, heal, and thrive.
Recently, a young woman walked into our home carrying her little daughter in her arms. She was a single mother, overwhelmed by life’s challenges, and the child was the unexpected result of those struggles. One look at the little girl and it was clear: she was suffering from malnutrition, and the lack of basic care was visible.
After speaking with her, she agreed to leave her daughter with us temporarily — just until she could find her feet again. We immediately reported the situation to the appropriate authorities, signed the necessary papers, and welcomed the child into our care. She was free to visit anytime and would be able to take her daughter back whenever she was ready.
Less than a year later, this same child who arrived weak and malnourished is now healthy, active, and thriving. She eats four times daily, with special attention to a balanced, protein-rich diet. She plays and mingles with the other children confidently, and as expected, she is fully integrated into our home-schooling and early education programme. She has resumed school and is learning fast.
Months passed, and each time her mother visited, she was moved to tears, she could barely recognize the vibrant, joyful child standing before her.
This is why Sarah’s House Orphanage exists.
To give children a chance to live, grow, learn, and dream.
To provide a safe, loving environment where they are well-fed, properly cared for, and supported like family.
We truly are a home away from home for every child who walks through our doors.
