Our Impact Corner

On one of our journeys to give children in Akwaibom a home away from home, we met this beautiful child, Happiness.

From the first look, there was nothing happy about the state of where she lived and though she lived with her mother, they could barely even feed her or give her basic needs for optimum growth. The roof of the house had leakages. Her uniforms and sandals were torn and we knew she was a project we needed to take up.

Though we are an orphanage home, but in a border scope, we take care of orphans and vulnerable children, which Happiness fell under the latter.

We had discussions with the parent and got their consent to take in the young girl into They signed necessary papers, we did her medicals and brought her in to meet her new siblings. Her mother let out a little tear, but, she knew it was for the greater good of her daughter.

It’s been months since she got into our home and we are grateful for the transformation. Like every other child we are rebuilding the faulty foundations in her education because we are committed to raising future leaders from our orphanage. She has resumed homeschooling in the house and in subsequent time, would be attending a traditional school.

Her feeding condition has greatly improved. She eats balanced diets thrice a day. Daily we are upgrading her wardrobe and bringing out the princess in her. She now has sisters in the home with whom she interacts with and build her confidence. We have noticed some innate skills that she has and we are committed to see them blossom.

Happiness is happier everyday. You could see the joy she radiates daily. Her mother visits her from time to time to check on her and she’s every grateful that God miraculously linked her daughter with Sarah’s House Orphanage.

This is what we do at Sarah’s House Orphanage, we are building a home away from home for orphans and vulnerable children.
